Cell-in-cell structure in cancer: evading strategies from anti-cancer therapies

چکیده
One of the regulated forms cell death is cell-in-cell (CIC) structure, in which a surviving engulfed by another cell, mechanism that causes an adjacent cell. Several investigators have previously shown presence CICs independent risk factor significantly associated with decreased survival patients various types cancer. In this review, we summarize role CIC tumor microenvironment (TME), including changes and crosstalk molecules proteins surrounding CIC, these factors contributing to therapeutic resistance acquisition. Moreover, structure formation influenced modulation TME, may lead cellular properties. Future use as clinical diagnostic tool will require better understanding effects chemotherapy on biomarkers for each process, development automated detection methods tissue sections specimens.

The Anti-cancer effects of Celastrol on K562 cell line
Background and Objective: The level of NF-κB factor expression (a transcriptional factor which increases the expression of inflammatory genes) is often increased in various human cancers. Therefore, NF-κB inhibitors such as Celastrol may prevent cancer development. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the anticancer effects of Celastrol on K562 cells proliferation. Materials and Methods:...
متن کاملCell based therapies in retinal diseases
Background Degenerative retinal diseases, including age related macular degeneration, glaucoma, and hereditary retinal dystrophies are major causes of blindness. The principal defect in these diseases is cell loss which is amenable to both cell based neuroprotective and neuroregenerative therapies. To briefly review the lines of research and potential candidates for cell based therapies among ...
متن کاملNovel Cell-Based Therapies in Hepatic Disorders
In the recent decade, liver diseases with high mortality rate have became one of the major health problems worldwide. Liver transplantation is the most effective and the standard treatment for decompensated liver disease, but, shortage of available organs and inaccuracy in modeling of the liver diseases are the most limiting issues in treatment. Regenerative medicine and cell based therapy str...
متن کاملEpicatechin enhances anti-proliferative effect of bleomycin in ovarian cancer cell
Background: Bleomycin (BLM) is an anti-cancer drug widely used in the treatment of cancer. BLM causes several side effects related to DNA and cellular damage. The aim of this study was investigated the effects of tea polyphenol epicatechin on anti-proliferative effects induced by bleomycin in human normal skin and human ovarian cancer cells. Materials and Methods: Human ovarian cancer cell (SK...
متن کاملDefective Cell Cycle Checkpoints as Targets for Anti-Cancer Therapies
Conventional chemotherapeutics target the proliferating fraction of cells in the patient's body, which will include the tumor cells, but are also toxic to actively proliferating normal tissues. Cellular stresses, such as those imposed by chemotherapeutic drugs, induce cell cycle checkpoint arrest, and currently approaches targeting these checkpoints are being explored to increase the efficacy a...
